How engagements unfold
The restart path
A four-stage route we use inside the Career Restart Consultation — and a map you can follow even if you begin with a single session.
Career restart support after a professional break is rarely a single tip about rewriting a CV. In Germany, hiring panels look for date clarity, realistic availability, and a calm account of why you are applying now. The path below is how we sequence that work.
-
1
Clarity
We inventory prior roles, the reason and length of the break, salary needs, hours you can sustain, and geography. Non-negotiables (Kita pickup, treatment windows, language level) are written down before any job portal opens.
-
2
Positioning
Lebenslauf, Anschreiben, and profile texts are revised so the break is visible but not loud. Achievements from before the pause are translated into the language German readers skim for: scope, responsibility, and outcomes.
-
3
Market fit
Together we shortlist role types and sectors that hire for your profile now — including bridge roles when a full return to prior seniority would strain health or caregiving capacity.
-
4
Practice
Mock interviews rehearse the break narrative, availability questions, and competency answers. Feedback is specific enough to use in the same week’s conversations.
Where to enter
Most clients begin with the Career Restart Consultation, which covers all four stages. If you already have interviews booked, start at Practice with an Interview Preparation Session. If documents are the bottleneck, begin with an Application Package Review.
